Re[2]: [vps-mail] Majordomo Install Problems on VPS2

At 1:20 PM -0700 5/22/04, Abigail Marshall said something about:

Matt, maybe you know this and have the above configuration
set just for testing - but the way it is set up right now,
any spammer can send mail to your entire list by simply
mailing to:

test-l-outgoing@xxxxxxxxx

(Assuming you get it all working)

That's why I don't like majordomo, by the way - there really
is no way to protect against this that I know of, but you
can configure it so that (1) the "outgoing" address is not
something easy to guess, but is essentially treated as if it
were a password, like: test-l-3g5iou9 - and (2) the resend
line is configured so that the "outgoing" address doesn't
show up in the headers.

I use #2, but I am planning on moving this MailMan, which I think I can also use command-line directives to add/remove members. But first I got to get it working!!!

Matt
