Wonderful - first recipe worked!
(The rest might come in useful later when installng something else, I appreciate the extensive reply!)
A much longer list of things happening now, with all sorts of tests, all ok, ending with:
Installing ~/usr/local/bin/savelogs (replaced home dir with ~)
(and a few more lines)
Only problem left is now (I hope :)) that I can't simply run 'savelogs --help' but need to give the full path to savelogs.
I assume that's a "path" problem but I'm a Unix baby...
I *think* the path is set in .cshrc - it has this line:
set path = (~/bin /bin /usr/bin /usr/X11/bin /usr/contrib/bin /usr/contrib/mh/bin /usr/games /usr/local/bin)
Since I noted ~/bin in there, I tried adding ~/usr/local/bin but that didn't help.
Any hints? Full path instead of ~ maybe? Or am I looking at the wrong place?
A recommendation for a book about FreeBSD would also be welcome ;-)
