Hi Art:
That's probably the problem. It was configured for both at one time but
they put in a new server several months ago and their NT administrator
doesn't really know how things are configured. I'm going to try and get
them to contact the folks that set it up for them.

Norman,
Check the Exchange server and verify that it recognizes
suttonsoftware.com as a local hostname. It may be configured to only
recognize city.suttonsoftware.com.
Cheers,

Hi:
Sanity check - we had a long time customer with mail being delivered
to his local MS Exchange server using virtmaps. Setup was like so: On
nameservers: "MX 10 = domain.name" plus an A Recd "city.domain.name
= IP.exchange.server"
And on the server for domain.name were virtmaps: "username1 =>
username1@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx" etc.
This has been working just fine for some time.
We made these changes over the weekend.
First changed MX to "MX 10 = city.domain.name" We left the virtmaps
in place too.
Next day we moved the web site to a new server and new IP.
The web site has propagated and is working fine on the new server,
but mail addressed to "anyuser@xxxxxxxxxxx" is not being delivered.
However, mail addressed to "anyuser@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx" is delivered.
The domain is "suttonsoftware.com" and all DNS lookups appear to be
correct. Does anyone have a suggestion?
