Re: FW: FW: [vps-mail] Possible FormMail Issue

Colin, the issue isn't how quickly you respond to a suggestion, it's that
you continued to post questions and ask for help after obviously ignoring
and disregarding the initial advice you were given. Mark and posted almost
simultaneously raising the issue of permissions, and I told you from the
outset to check your error logs, and when you said you didn't know where
they are, I posted a possible path to the logs.

I understand that you clearly are new to server administration, but the
ability to set file permissions and using error logs is pretty basic stuff.
You really shouldn't be trying to install any scripts without knowing (or
learning) those things. Here's one web site with basic info about
permissions:
http://www.akamarketing.com/unix-files-permissions.html

The reason that I told you to check the error logs is that the error log is
the place where the computer sends a message telling exactly what went
wrong. Sometimes the messages can be pretty obtuse, but it's a start. So
again, something you should know.

Anyway, I am always happy to help someone who is just learning, but I don't
want to waste my time giving advice that is simply disregarded.
