Abigail,
With all due respect, I think that if you capitalize a word in a sentence
then chose to end it with an exclamation mark, it might be reasonably
construed as being shouting.
I have said thank you for your help on more than one occasion as I truly
value your expertise and time and those of other members of your group.
If you have a situation where you are losing patience because I am not
taking the steps that you recommend as quickly as you would like, might I
suggest that you consider that I am not technically inclined therefore
things that you would take as second nature I may not have even heard of.
For example, I stated that I didn't know how to check the error logs or even
how to find out the permissions on a file until today. I do try and solve
these problems but from your comments, they obviously aren't solved fast
enough as far as you're concerned.
Again, thank you for your all of your time and effort, it is very much
appreciated.
Colin.

The issue was due to permissions.
Isn't that what Mark & I suggested in the first place?
My capitalizing a single word isn't "shouting" -- it was added for emphasis
after I had suggested the same thing for the third time in a row.
I've spent a lot of time trying to help you on this and the last form
problem. it's just that it's not fair to me or anyone else to ask us to
spend time trying to debug your problem when you aren't going to follow the
suggestions offered.

Tech support kindly changed the file permission so that it could also
execute as well as read & write.
Thanks for your help.

Thanks for the suggestion and by the way, you don't need to shout..

You NEED to look at at the error logs! That is the place where the system
tells you what is going wrong.

Hi again,
I've been in touch with our account manager and he suggested that I went
straight to cPanel as it would have more flexibility.
Incidentally, I've moved the files, changed the virtual host configuration
and submitted the form again and am still having the same problem...

I inherited this hosting from the previous business owner but am currently
looking at alternatives.
If you want to stay with a VPS platform and you have multiple sites hosted
on the server, I would suggest simply upgrading to a VPS3 -- there are
resellers who would help you with the migration for a reasonable fee if it
seems too daunting to do on your own.
Depending on the size and needs of the individual sites, you might consider
migrating them to Signatures. I would only consider Signature for small,
low-volume sites -- but that's what the majority of my clientele are
running, and with the control panel a lot easier to manage.
I think you are in the position of someone who inherited a dinosaur,
unfortunately.
