[vps-mail] Is anyone not liking the spam from our beloved verio mailing list?

Sorry to have to say this here, but most of us here are in charge of tech
issues on VPS/MPS, yes? And the list is about mail on these, right?

So, wouldn't it be great if Verio had the consideration to separate sales,
surveys and other crap that busy people often do not wish to see from the
important technical updates and service notices?

I've written to them three times about this, and finally someone wrote back
saying you can change this in preferences. However, the way it's worded on
the reseller interface, ONE email address is used for both crap I never want
to see and tech notes. Shouldn't Verio be setting an example for permission
based mailing? What if we send these off to Sarah at the abuse desk? I
wouldn't do that, she's a good person.

Anyone care to comment? Maybe if several people mention that this is far
from state of the art, they'd consider sending what is now well-know as
OPT-IN commercial email.
