Fortunately I have never needed a tape backup. :) It is my
understanding that there is a charge, but I don't know what it is
exactly. Although, I would argue with support that it is a flaw in the
system that they shouldn't charge you for. I know they are going to say
it's a limitation with apache, but they could code in protection to
prevent the address book update if the quota is too high along with a
alert to the user. That's just my opinion though. I would just talk to
support about it, most of the time they are reasonable about cpx issues.

that's what I was afraid of. I have not retrieved files off tape
before. is there still a charge to get the files from tape? do you
know the specific file that I'll need to request from backup for the
address book? I think the command I must use is "getback" but I cannot
find any documentation on it.

I have seen the same behavior on FTP files coming over as 0 bytes
when the disk quota is reached, so I suspect that's exactly what
happened.
You may have to have Verio look at tape backups to retrieve if possible.
Good Luck,

Where does cpx store its address book? I just got a message from a
user that they lost the entries in their address book. They had let
their account grow until they hit their quota. They use CPX for
email. Is it possible that CPX will overwrite an address book with a
zero length file is the user's quota limit is reached? Thanks.
