# ls -lsdn /var/log
2 drwxr-xr-x 4 0 0 1536 May 5 00:00 /var/log
So, according to you, this shouldn't work, right?
User clamav needs to have write access to /var/log if it is to *CREATE* a
new file in there. Not in order to write to a file that exists already.
