I don't see why there would be. Unless by "same time" you
mean that you would be using both simultanously to mail out
really large bulk lists, then I suppose they would compete
for server resources.
Because Dada mail does its own mail handling, you don't have
to set up a bunch of different aliases for each list. I'm
using it only for broadcast-only lists (I use Mailman for
discussion lists) - so there is no need for the list to
receive email except for bounce handling.
You will want to install the bounce handler - it is an
add-on, very easy to install - but it is basically what sold
me on Dada mail over majordomo.

Hmm, there apparently is a new version, release 5/13/04 - so
maybe it could be different - though I think I'm just
running the beta of the same version.
I don't remember any big problems with installation.
I've got permissions for the program set as root:webadmin
The permissions for the data directory are www:[username]
You put the program into a subdirectory of your cgi-bin, and
the data directory somewhere else where it's safe, since
that's where all the email addresses are stored.
