Abigail (and everyone else who trusted me to look more carefully!)
Cron on VPS 1 and shell are the only things that do not run "virtual"
(chrooted), so if you want to run a program (e.g., spamd, mysql, etc.)
out of your own VPS (i.e., the program is installed under your home
account /usr/home/<acct>/usr/local/bin/<something>), you'll need
"virtual" in there.
To confuse things further, some of the vinstalls "wrap" the binary
with an explicit virtual call in a Bourne-shell script (e.g., urchin
and most mysql utilities are like this) so it appears that they don't
need to be run virtually, when they really are.
