Re: [vps-mail] ipop3d Error "Command stream end of file while reading line user"

Hello Again,

Well our idea was incorrect. Yes the client was using a username of "username@xxxxxxxxxx", we called the client and had one of the users change the information to just "username", but now I am receiving the same error "Command stream end of file while reading line user=username"

They are all using Outlook (different version) , a Google search appears this is an issue that many people have had, but I can not find a solution.
Any ideas?

Thanks.

Hello all,

We believe we have figured this out. Our client's old hosting company has their usernames listed as username@xxxxxxxxxx which when they pop they are sending their username as "username@xxxxxxxxxx". This is causing the error.

Since this client has many computers is there any way we can update the server to accept "username@xxxxxxxxxx" and retrieve the e-mail for username?

Thank you for any help you can provide.

Mike

Hello,

I have a client who we just put on a new VPS2b server. They are unable to retrieve their e-mail, the /var/log/maillog is returning the error "Command stream end of file while reading line user=user@xxxxxxxxxx". The server has CPX installed.

Anyone have any ideas on how to correct this?

Thank you for your help in this matter.

Mike
