FYI, on that same page I found a link to another interesting article titled,
"Open Source Not Ready for Anti-Virus" at
www.eweek.com/article2/0,1759,1633423,00.asp in which the author, Larry
Seltzer, gives ClamAV mixed review ("Clam AntiVirus has a good reputation
for updating its database quickly, but all I've seen is praise, not
numbers."), but ultimately dismisses it in saying:
"At this point, with no real objective data to compare it with anything
else-not even the wild list-and with mail server support still officially
unfinished, it's hard to see how you could rely on it for a real
organization, unless you actually have no budget."
That surprises me since I'm sure lots of us rely on it for "real
organizations" with budgets.
Sounds like he didn't do his homework or has a hidden bias. Interesting
opinion anyway.

Jim Smith
