I use 2 blacklists for SMTP blocking, list.dsbl.org (open
relays) and sbl-xbl.spamhaus.org (known large scale
mailers of UCE)

I have configured so that if email is blocked, the bounce
message is something like this:

Refused, Sender on Spamhaus Combined Block List see:
http://www.abuse.net/sbl.phtml?IP="$&{client_addr} See
http://nospam.mydomain.com/

The first link takes them to the listing for their own IP so
they can see the problem; the second takes them to a page on
our site that explains the spam policy PLUS has an email
form that can be used to send messages to us. So if a PERSON
got a bounce they could read the message & contact us.
(Spammers don't seem inclined to read the bounces they get).

Anyway, I have NEVER had a claim of false positive, though
I frequently find dsbl.org blocking ME from accessing the
SMTP server for outgoing email, because of blocking DSL
IP's from my own IP. - but I'm the only one who is supposed
to be using our servers for outgoing mail, and I can give
myself needed permissions via the access file.
