Is your SA running as a daemon?
I recently got this from verio support.... (our server was getting a
bit too busy)
Specifically:
"The only differences you may see is if you are running individual
user_prefs, these
may no longer work."
Wow! This is a BIG issue for me - I didn't see this anywhere in the
vinstall for 2.63, which I understand now runs daemonized (if I
glossed over it, my apologies)
Luckily i'm only rolling out the 2.63 version on my personal server
but I've got some important accounts (ok, its my wife's) that use
specific user_prefs settings on their SA tweaks.
If there's now way around this, I can't see rolling out 2.63 to any
of my other VPSs, and now I wonder how I can re-install 2.54 on my
main VPS to get user_prefs to work again!
Any Suggestions? Am I mis-informed?
Matt
