Confused here. Is your client "tom" frustrated because when
he tries to send mail to "jackiec" (on an outside system) -
it bounces? Because if so, there is not much you can do
about how the mail server at beachlink.com is configured,
whether or not "jackiec" is a valid user on that system.

I don't know how you were able to check to see whether the
email existed; there are some problems with the way
beachlink.com is configured, but I don't know whether that
would effect email delivery or not. But here's what I got:

I don't know what that all means, but it does not look good.

But if I understand the problem correctly, the bottom line
for you is that the problem is on a different system - it
really isn't something you can help with.

(Don't despair. I had an AOL user today wanting me to fix
the problem that arose when she got an error reporting that
her message could not be sent "because the total size
exceeded the maximum allowed by the AOL Internet gateways".
I had to explain, patiently, that I can't change the way AOL
works).
