Bouncing preserves nearly all the headers as they came in; some
mailers will add a "X-Resent" header or two.
In mutt, the 'b' key will bounce a message. Pine and elm also have
bounce or resend features.
Older versions of Eudora have a "redirect" button that is the same
thing; I can't remember if newer versions support it. I've never used
Outlook or its variants, so I can't say for sure whether it is even
supported there. I think Pegasus mail has a bounce button too.
"Forward" options in most mailers essentially create a new message and
then paste part of the old message inside it, effectively obliterating
all the really useful headers.
