AW: [cpx] sendmail.cf

hi,
we have a strange issue.
we have set the permissions of /etc/mail/sendmail.cf to -r--r--r-- root
wheel with secureCRT.
but when looking to it after next login they have jumped back to -r--rw-r--
(0464) root www
could anybody please help with this?
