[vps-mail] Mailman aliases help
Hi -
We are running mailman on one of our VPS v2 server and we are running into a problem with getting it to automatically write the aliases needed to the actual /etc/mail/aliases file. It writes them to the /usr/local/mailman/data/aliases file without problems, but when I change sendmail to read this file, in sendmail.cf:
O AliasFile=/etc/mail/aliases,/usr/local/mailman/data/aliases
It will not work because 'vnewaliases' has problems with the mailmain directory being group writable, however it needs these permissions for the mailman admin interface to write to it.
I have tried creating sym links from either the /usr/local/mailman/data/aliases to /etc/mail/aliases and visa-versa, this will work fine with creating new lists via command line but through the admin interface ti will give errors due to permissions.
Does anyone have any suggestion on getting mailman to automatically write to teh aliases file so we do not have to manually input the aliases.
Thanks in advance -
Robyn
