[vps-mail] viewing html in iManager

I have a client using a recent version of Internet Explorer. He is using
iManager to retrieve emails during the day. Some of his customers send
emails that show up in IManager as attachments (I assume those are html
email?). He gets the link to "View text/html attachment separately" and when
he clicks that, nothing happens.

Two questions:
(1.) Is there a simple setting in IE that is blocking those links from
opening that he could change?
and
(2.) Would there be a way to add a new link that says, "View in text format"
that would strip the HTML so a user could see what the message was about
without triggering scripts, web bugs, and other nasty stuff? Is that another
feature that would be handy to others as well?
