[vps-mail] spam viruses really getting me down

Hello,

Is there any way to disable an email address so that it can't be spoofed? 
As I write this it is sounds like a particularly stupid question. Sorry.

It is just in the last few days the spam viruses are hitting hard on my 
mailing list server and the spoofed address is from the webmaster address 
on that server. And the email messages are actually being delivered to the 
listowners. It makes us look pretty unprofessional, IMO. So I thought that 
I would put my question out to this list to see if anyone had a solution 
they wouldn't mind sharing.
