I'd like to get some of your experiences on server loads, particularly
wrt email but I think most of us run thes VPS2 (or 1) with both http
and mail service.
I have a VPS2 Pro with about 20 mail users and a large web site.
Apache is serving about 15-18,000 hits per day which I think is pretty
conservative. (IIRC the old VPS were rated at 30,000 page/day).
The mail setup is complex though, as we are filtering and resending
mail somewhere else. This means ever stuff going off server is filtered
by procmail, spamassassin and Clamav. The reult, as you can imagine
has been that the server has to kneel down several times a day like a
dying horse.
I think some of you have said you use VPS2 for mail only setups?
Anyone care to comment on load and performance? Any of your
experiences on VPS2 would be of interest to me, so thanks in advance.
