[vps-mail] Preening Mailman Archives

Here's a puzzle... what is the easiest way to preen Mailman archives of 
messages that are older than x days?

In case you aren't familiar, the basic archive file is a standard 
mbox-format file.

It seems like someone has to have solved this before....
