Ok, let me ask perhaps an easier question.  How do I get my subjects to be 
rewritten?

I have now changed the old rewritting options in the local.cf file:
-------------------------
#rewrite_subject 1
rewrite_header Subject **SPAM** (_HITS_)
#subject_tag **SPAM** (_HITS_)
------------------------

Still, the subject is not being rewritten and thus procmail isn't 
filtering.
