The amount of spam (not SPAM, that's a registered trademark of Hormel Foods
Inc.) sent globally has increased exponentially over the past 3 months, so I
wouldn't be at all surprised if that which evades filters has also
increased, while still being the same proportion of the total spam flung
in your direction.
I keep logs of the reports I file with SpamCop. These reports include both
manual reports of spam which got past my filters, and automatic reports
generated by spam hitting spam traps of mine. This is what I have for the
past year:
05/03: 129
06/03: 91
07/03: 100
08/03: 215
09/03: 208
10/03: 219
11/03: 320
12/03: 304
01/04: 223
02/04: 333
03/04: 532
04/04: 720 (even with an 11-day loss of connectivity)
05/04: 973 (so far - still 6 days to go before the end of the month)
