clamd is not very stable yet, but it is simply started with 'clamd'.

the vps1 ~/etc/rc is done now in /etc/crontab with a @reboot:
@reboot root /usr/local/bin/spamd --(spamd args)

The vinstall puts those in automatically. Search for 'clamscan' at the
vps-mail search: http://perlcode.org/lists/ if you want to see what
it puts in (or you can look at the vinstall script in
/usr/local/install/clamav.install).
