Greetings Scott:If we were not running qmail-scanner with SpamAssassin 2.63 on six RedHat Linux servers without a problem, I would buy that it was qmail-scanner rather than SpamAssassin on VPS 2.
We also know others running this combination on FreeBSD dedicated servers without a hitch; hence, the point is towards VPS 2 problems with the software rather than qmail-scanner or SpamAssassin.
Since we are using qmail-scanner because of Anti-Virus scanning and spam tagging, moving to qmail-spamc will not work (based on
"If you don't need the antivirus features of qmail-scanner, you can use qmail-spamc instead")
Given we don't have a problem what so ever on RedHat Linux 7.3, RedHat Enterprise, and FreeBSD dedicated servers with either piece of software, how do we go about getting this to work on the VPS 2 line?

Because the vinstall has been tested and known to work (i.e., mail sent to it over stdin _will_ be scanned), I can only assume that your setup and configuration of qmail-scanner is incorrect. The SpamAssassin qmail/README contains this note about qmail-scanner: http://search.cpan.org/src/FELICITY/Mail-SpamAssassin-2.63/qmail/README.qmail-spamc So, you may wish to try the qmail-spamc wrapper instead of qmail-scanner.
