Re: [vps-mail] Clam-AV not catching new virus

Hi John,

I mentioned the same thing a couple days ago. My question now is, "how come clamav is still letting it through?" Or, maybe a better question is, "how can I verify that clamav is NOT letting it through?". Does clamav have a website or something that lists all the viruses it is known to catch? If this one is still slipping through, is there an email address for clamav that we can send viruses to?

Mark

Hello,
I received an email yesterday containing a virus, and my customers started receiving them today as well. The email appears to originate from 'support@xxxxxxxxxxxxxx' <mailto:'support@xxxxxxxxxxxxxx'> and states that your email account has been disabled and that in order to enable it you must open the 'link', which actually goes to a zip file named 'Important.zip' which has a virus. Just thought I would send this around! John Oligario
