RE: [vps-mail] Suggestions for spam on VPS2

Scott,
Yes, I have version 2.61 loaded. In home/jimsmith/.spamassassin/user_prefs,
I have the following:
============================
# How many hits before a message is considered spam.
required_hits           4.4

# Whether to change the subject of suspected spam
rewrite_subject         0

# Text to prepend to subject if rewrite_subject is used
subject_tag             *****SPAM*****

# Encapsulate spam in an attachment
report_safe             0

# Use terse version of the spam report
use_terse_report        0

# Enable the Bayes system
use_bayes               1

# Enable Bayes auto-learning
auto_learn              1

# Enable or disable network checks
#skip_rbl_checks         0
#use_razor2              1
#use_dcc                 1
#use_pyzor               1
=================================

I changed the required_hits to 4.4 so it would be easy for me to see that
this file is being accessed. I can see in my headers that it is using that
file:

Subject: Sooper s_eks machine - want ladiz to think of you the same?
X-ClamAV: clean
X-Spam-Checker-Version: SpamAssassin 2.61 (1.212.2.1-2003-12-09-exp) on
	blarneys.securesites.net
X-Spam-Status: No, hits=1.4 required=4.4 tests=DATE_IN_PAST_96_XX,
	HTML_FONTCOLOR_UNSAFE,HTML_MESSAGE,MIME_HTML_ONLY autolearn=no
	version=2.61

...but the bayes token files haven't autolearned anything (time stamp and
size doesn't change) since I did a manual ham & spam learn back in December.
I've checked the root files and they haven't changed either so I assume the
Bayes just isn't working.

Any suggestions would be welcomed.

Regards,

Jim Smith
