Re: [vps-mail] Suggestions for spam on VPS2

I highly recommend DNSBL like spamcop. On one of my servers I have blocked 247 messages in the last 17 hours; 232 by spamcop alone!
Doing this require adding one or two "FEATURE" lines to the sendmail.mc
which on VPS2 is called "/etc/mail/yadayada.something.mc". Sorry to be so vague, you need to get the docs in front of you.

Also, look at the sendmail file /etc/access and forbid countries you don't need to deal with. You will also see big ip blocks that send a lot of spam your way (maybe from cough, China, cough) and these can ofen be avoided by adding

202.nnn REJECT

(for example)

You should find a lot about DNSBL in the archives of this group and also in the VPS2 "fighting spam" section (on the server, not in the PDF.)
