RE: [vps-mail] SpamAssassin Install - Newbie

I should have clarified, I was trying to install on a v2. I finally had
success after using the "Alternative" install option found on
http://www.spamassassin.org/full/2.6x/dist/INSTALL and logging back in as
root, unzipped the 2.61 file, and used the makefile commands as indicated. I
also used Michael Moncur's config tool at
http://www.yrex.com/spam/spamconfig.php which seems to have done a great and
simple job for configuring the local.cf file with the preferences I wanted.

Now maybe I'll be more up to speed on the rest of the threads! :-)

Thank you,

Michael

On a VPS 1:

    vcpan -f Mail::SpamAssassin

This will upgrade you to 2.61. The errors during testing come because
of the virtual-real duality of the VPS 1 and can often be ignored.
