Hi,
I am completely non technical so please bear with me.
I wonder if you could give me a few pointers regarding a problem that I have
with a virtual host.
We are resellers and are testing a script for one of the forms, this can be
seen here: http://www.neemapartments.com/contact_us2.html
This form doesn't work and gives the following error message:
Application Error
An error has occurred in the program
Can't open mailprog [/usr/lib/sendmail -oi -t]
To make things more confusing, the formmail script is in no less than 3
locations:
. /cgi-bin/ within the virtual host folder. This is where I placed
the script and also where the form passes the results to.
. /cgi-bin/ in the httpd folder. This was created by support at Via
Verio.
. /neem-cgi-bin/ in the httpd folder. This was created by support at
Via Verio.
They also added a new line in my virtual host configuration for the Script
Alias with no explanation.
After several e-mails and some number of weeks, it was established that the
person that I was in contact with didn't really know what he was doing and
today he finally announced that he wasn't a coder and that they didn't
support scripts.
The long and the short of it is that the process that I thought was pretty
straightforward is now totally confusing and I'm unable to get a straight
answer from Via Verio Support.
I think that it would be best to scrap everything that has been created thus
far and start from scratch but if you could give me any ideas how I best I
can salvage this situation, it would be much appreciated.
Thanks,
Colin Adams
