Outlook uses a proprietary format that is readable by, errm... pretty much
Outlook and nothing else. No Microsoft mailer uses any standard mail
storage structure like MH or mbox.
By installing Thunderbird it might be possible to import the Outlook mail
folder (I believe it does this via the MAPI interface) and obtain an mbox
file, but even then I'm not entirely sure TB is limited to importing Outlook
Express data.
You're pretty much stuck here.
