I did read the response you got from Ghislain, but I wonder if the following 
setup would be easier/simpler:

somebody@xxxxxxxxxxxxxx => server66.appriver.com => IPAddressSignature

If there is no reason to push the mail through the vps2, then this would 
seem to be a better approach.
