Greetings Bill:
I usually run freshclam from cron (or by hand when I want to check for an
update right then and there) rather than in daemon mode.
Have you tried running it manually?
Thank you.
P.S. If you did not purposely put it in cron, it probably is not in cron.

Hi.
I am noticing a lot of virus mail over the last week, and clamav is no
longer catching any virus mail now. ps aux shows clamd and freshclam
running.
I installed this from ports. My questions are:
How do I know clamav is running properly?
How do I restart it?
Are their any log files showing clamav activities?
Why is freshclam running continutally? ( I thought it ran from the cron
periodically)
