I started to make a long and detailed reply and my PC locked up so I'm 
not quoting and I'll make this short.

If "man sa-learn" doesn't work, maybe you have an early verion of 
spamassassin installed. What version do you have?

I move the spam to an IMAP folder in the same account and run sa-learn 
on it. That should have no effect. Forwarding may or may not have an 
effect, but moving doesn't I'm sure.

If you have thousands of spams a day, it would seem you are not using 
DNSBL. It's fairly simple to put at least one in sendmail.mc.
