[vps-mail] filtering non local account with spamassassin and clamav

Hi everybody,

  i am very curious about how to filter non local mail with the two
tools that are spamassassin and clamav. I have seen a lot of how-to and
all use a shell script to parse the message into the tools and then send
it again to the final destination. I was wondering if any of you knows
of another solution as performance wise it does not sounds right to turn
a vpps v2 in email gateway like that ?
