Perhaps there should be some template/global defaults?
A check of SA wide setting defaults.
Turn on Webmail by default for every user I give mail access for
Turn on Spamassassin by default for every user I give mail access for
etc. Then at least I know if I create users, they would use these server
wide defaults I have setup. Of course, when creating each user, I can turn
them off.
Right now the SA default is all options off. A way to set the defaults just
allows us to customize what a "default" user looks like.
Personally, I can't see why you would want to disable WebMail for anyone
who has a POP mailbox. Thus, I would set my server default for enable
webmail for everyone that it is revelent for. If you don't want webmail
enabled by default, well, you change the default (or actually leave the
default unchanged...)
I'd actually like to go a step further... To actually give the end user the
use of these services, the SA has to allow the services to be set by the
user, and then log into the users account, and actually enable them! Or
tell the user too...
Perhaps I want ALL users to have clamav enabled for their profile AND
actually turned on... That takes two steps now, and logging into a users
account to fiddle his settings during initial setup seems wrong...
