I don't have any control of when a bug fix goes out. Like gmail,
online TurboTax, etc., fixes to the control panel "just happen"

Not to my knowledge. This isn't a new "version"; it's just a
maintenance release (and these have happened almost every week since
CPX was released). Nothing new or special with the next dist afaik.
