[cpx] email adress, the "." not autorized ?

Hi all,

I just tried to create an email  like this:

firstname.lastname@xxxxxxxxxxxx  and the cpx tells me invalid adress in 
the javascript warning (i am on firefox 1.0) ,  is this normal ?

i have to remove the "." to make it work. and then i do not have the 
email i wanted.
