[cpx] web based file browser/editor

I just subscribed and read a few posts about plans for imanager 
functionality in cpx

I read on the viaVerio forums that if you're using the cpx ControlPanel, 
you shouldn't use imanager as it might bash your files. Could I get some 
clarification on this? Is this still a problem? else is there an 
alternative? I don't mind telnet into my site but it had been convenient to 
use imanage to make some quick file edits etc. Is there another web based 
file browser/editor for v2?
