Use archmbox (from /ports/) via a cronjob to clean out each user's
Junk mail file every 14 days. That way if they say they're missing
emai you can go back and look for it. It will count against the
user's quota, so you can cut down that # if you want.
%cd /ports/mail/archmbox
%make; make install; make clean
Add this cronjob entry:
#ArchMbox
00 00 */10 * * /usr/local/bin/archmbox -k -o 14 --totals /home/*/Mail/Junk
and then forget about it.

At 10:13 AM -0700 12/7/06, Jonathan Duncan said something about:
I have a user whose disk quota was just reached because his Junk and
Quarantine folders on the server were full. He does not use the
webmail tool. He POP's all his mail to his local machine. However,
when he POP's, the Junk and Quarantine folder are not downloaded.
(and why should they be, right? Or maybe it would be helpful?
Different topic.) It is nice that SPAM and Virii are getting caught
and put in those folders. However, it would be nice to have some
kind of process in place that would nuke messages in those folders
that are older than X number of days. That would be a good setting
option for the Spam and Junk in CPX.
Has anyone else found this to be a problem?
Thanks,
Jonathan
