[cpx] Limit on user name size

Hello,

   Has anyone found a way to overcome the 16 char. user name limitation 
for user names?
I have a client who desperately wants this as he had been using long 
user names earlier on his previous hosting service, as most South Indian 
names are long. Now after transferring to us he has come up against this 
limit.
I feel that it is not only a CPX problem but also a server set-up issue 
as vadduser too does not allow more than 16 chars.
Any help or workarounds will be much appreciated.
