Then if you are mailing "from" null@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx, and
there is no separate virtmap or genericstable entry for that I would
expect it to fail...my understanding is that Sendmail will reject mail
addresses from addresses it "knows" do not exist.
My customer isn't maililng "from" null@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx He is mailing
form real email address. As Bill stated:
The "null" is nothing you put in CPX... It's just something at the end of
the Majordomo command line in aliases ... which I wouldn't fiddle with CPX
(and you can't directly anyway)... I have
my-list: "|/usr/local/majordomo/wrapper resend -h domain.com -l my-list
my-list-outgoing-####, null"
In the meantime I found the solution. Instead using alias in Majordomo
command in /etc/aliases for outgoing mail I need to use real email address
from virtusertable and it works.
